Update recovery

Stop the loop.
Keep everything.

If Check for updates downloads the same release again, the signed one-click installer can finish the replacement without resetting Flashback.

Your captures stay putSetup replaces app files, not your clips or local settings.

On 0.6.72 or earlier?

Run the current installer once instead of pressing Check for updates again. Versions 0.6.71 and 0.6.72 contain an apply-time bug that can reject and remove a valid staged package after downloading it. Already-installed code cannot change itself before that handoff, so the installer is the reliable bridge. Flashback 0.6.73 and later use the repaired verification path; current releases also keep verified partial downloads and offer this installer automatically if the normal handoff cannot finish.

01

Quit Flashback cleanly

Open the Flashback tray menu and choose Quit. This lets the replay buffer finish its current file before setup replaces the app files.

02

Download the current installer

Use the button on this page for Flashback 0.7.35. It is the same versioned installer bound into the signed update manifest and public checksum.

03

Run it once

The one-click installer repairs the existing per-user installation and reopens Flashback. Clips, settings, hotkeys, startup choices, and Library metadata stay in place.

Slow PC or connection?

Let the installer stay open until its progress bar completes. Current in-app downloads resume verified partial files after a connection drop and no longer impose a 20-second whole-download deadline.
